Jessica Berg

Jessica Berg is the founder and director of Rosecliff Literary, where she represents adult fiction and select nonfiction.

She’s drawn to horror, gothic stories, book club suspense, upmarket women’s fiction, and historical fiction that feels urgent.

Jessica holds an MFA from Spalding University and is a Contributing Editor for Writer’s Digest. She teaches writing workshops and retreats, and shares honest, behind-the-scenes advice with more than 50,000 followers on Instagram (@jessica__berg) and YouTube.

Known as the literary agent bestie, she tells writers the truth from inside the query inbox, kindly and without the jargon.

Her client list includes Lisa Roe, Trisha Blanchet, Tahverlee Anglen, Zach Powers, ZS Diamanti, Katia Sinchenko, Vincent Zandri, Arizona Bell, and others.

Most days, I’m chasing down contracts, answering the same five publishing myths in slightly different outfits, drinking coffee like it’s a competitive sport, ignoring “urgent” industry drama, and reminding writers that their work is the only thing that actually matters.
